Margalit Winery was founded by Dr. Yair Margalit in 1989. The winemaker is now his son, Assaf Margalit. Yair Margalit, winemaker, educator, author and consultant, is one of the founding fathers of the Israel quality wine revolution. Assaf Margalit, who studied in California, is one of Israel’s best winemakers of the new, younger generation. Margalit Winery is situated in Binyamina with vineyards in the Upper Galilee, Binyamina and Zichron Ya’acov. The winery is most famous for its Bordeaux varieties.
