Rachel Montefiore

Rachel Montefiore studied nutrition and Chinese medicine. She then went to work in the wine trade and gained wide experience working in retail, on premise and marketing. She studied wine at the Wine Academy Course at Ramat Gan College. She worked both for a boutique wine store, Vino Cigar, and for the largest wine shop chain in Israel, Derech Ha’Yayin. She then acted as a sommelier in two of Tel Aviv’s leading restaurants. After this she was involved in marketing and sales of Bravdo wines, before setting up Montefiore Winery as co-founder,part -owner. She is the daughter of Adam Montefiore, and the sister of David Montefiore, Wine Culture Manager for Tabor Winery & Wine Manager for IBBLS.
